Privacy Policy

Your images and videos never leave your device. Learn how UnWatermarkGemini executes 100% of watermark detection and pixel restoration locally inside your browser.

Zero Server Uploads

Photos and videos are processed strictly in your browser using HTML5 Canvas, Web Workers, and WebCodecs.

No Account or Tracking

No sign-up, no email collection, no advertising pixels, and zero cloud database retention of your media.

Verifiable in DevTools

Open your browser Network tab anytime while processing files to verify that zero media bytes are transmitted.

01

Zero-Upload Client-Side Architecture

UnWatermarkGemini is engineered from the ground up as a 100% client-side web application. When you select, drag-and-drop, or paste a Gemini image (JPG, PNG, WebP) or a Gemini / Veo video (MP4, WebM, MOV) into our workspace, your media files never leave your device.

All watermark detection, reverse alpha-blending equations (Original = (Watermarked - α × 255) / (1 - α)), multi-pass contour repairs, and video frame-by-frame muxing are executed strictly inside your browser's local memory using HTML5 Canvas, ImageData, Web Workers, and WebCodecs / Mediabunny APIs.

02

Information We Never Collect or Store

Because our restoration pipeline runs locally on your hardware without backend media servers, we do not collect, transmit, inspect, or store:

  • Any original or restored photos, images, or batch ZIP archives you process.
  • Any Gemini or Veo video clips, decoded video frames, or audio tracks.
  • EXIF metadata, camera profiles, geolocation tags, or embedded file headers contained within your media.
  • Personal user accounts, email addresses, passwords, or billing credentials (our tool requires zero sign-up).
03

Volatile Memory & Local Browser Storage

During an active editing or restoration session, your browser creates temporary blob: object URLs and typed pixel arrays (Uint8ClampedArray) in RAM so you can preview before/after comparisons and download cleaned exports.

When you click the Reset button, close your browser tab, or refresh the page, these in-memory buffers are immediately released and garbage-collected by your browser. We only use a single lightweight sessionStorage key (gwr_reset_mode) to remember whether you were on the Images or Videos tab when resetting the workspace.

04

Userscript & Open-Source CLI Tool Privacy

If you choose to install our optional Tampermonkey / Violentmonkey Userscript or run our local Node.js CLI / SDK package (gemini-watermark-remover):

  • Userscript Scope: Runs strictly on matching Gemini web pages in your browser to unblend visible corner watermarks on locally rendered DOM canvases before download. It contains zero telemetry, analytics beacons, or external network calls.
  • CLI / SDK Execution: Processes files directly from your local filesystem directory and writes restored outputs to your specified output folder offline.
05

Standard Web Hosting & Delivery Logs

Like any static website on the internet, when your browser initially requests the application's HTML, CSS, and JavaScript bundles from our edge CDN, standard minimal HTTP connection metadata (such as IP address, browser User-Agent string, and timestamp) may be transiently processed by infrastructure providers solely to deliver the webpage and mitigate DDoS abuse.

Once the web page loads in your browser, you can even disconnect from the internet and continue restoring images and videos completely offline.

06

Your Privacy Rights (GDPR, CCPA & Global Standards)

Under the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), and comparable global privacy frameworks, users have the right to access, rectify, port, or erase personal data held by a service provider.

Because UnWatermarkGemini follows a strict Privacy-by-Design and Zero-Knowledge architecture where no personal data or user media is ever uploaded to our servers, your files remain 100% under your physical custody and control at all times.

07

Policy Updates & Contact Information

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect enhancements to our local WebCodecs video pipeline or open-source toolkit. Any revisions will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.

If you have technical questions regarding our browser-local architecture or privacy practices, you can inspect our client-side pipeline directly in your browser's Developer Tools or reach out via our official repository documentation.
