Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using UnWatermarkGemini, including our browser-based Image Watermark Remover, Gemini Video Watermark Remover, Tampermonkey Userscript, and CLI / SDK utilities (collectively, the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions.
If you do not agree to these terms, please discontinue use of the web application and associated open-source tools immediately.
Description of Technical Service
UnWatermarkGemini provides a mathematical pixel-restoration utility that reverses the semi-transparent visible corner watermark composited onto AI-generated images and videos (such as 48×48 and 96×96 four-point star badges).
All computation occurs locally on your device using deterministic reverse alpha-blending algorithms. We do not host, store, review, or moderate user files on any remote server.
User Responsibility & Intellectual Property Compliance
You are solely responsible for the images, videos, and media assets you process using the Service. By loading a file into the tool, you represent and warrant that:
- You own the rights to the media or have obtained all necessary permissions to modify and restore the asset.
- Your removal of the visible corner badge complies with the applicable terms of service of the AI generation platform you used to create the media, as well as local regulations governing AI content disclosure.
- You will not use the Service to misrepresent third-party copyrighted works, forge evidentiary records, or engage in deceptive or unlawful conduct.
Visible Corner Badges vs. Invisible SynthID Watermarks
Important Technical Distinction: UnWatermarkGemini is designed exclusively to restore the visible semi-transparent corner overlay badge via inverse alpha compositing.
Our mathematical pipeline does not target, strip, or falsify cryptographic provenance metadata or imperceptible frequency-domain watermarks such as Google DeepMind's SynthID. Users must not rely on this tool to evade automated AI-provenance verification systems.
Open-Source CLI, SDK & Userscript License
Our downloadable Userscript (gemini-watermark-remover.user.js) and command-line batch workflows are provided for personal, research, and developer productivity use.
You may inspect, fork, and integrate the reverse alpha-blending routines in accordance with standard open-source licensing terms, provided that copyright notices and attribution headers remain intact and you do not misrepresent the software as an official Google product.
Disclaimer of Warranties (“As-Is” Provision)
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
While our calibrated 48×48 and 96×96 alpha maps achieve near-zero pixel error on unmodified Gemini exports, we do not guarantee that every heavily recompressed, resized, cropped, or third-party re-encoded image or video will restore without minor edge residuals.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the creators, maintainers, and contributors of UnWatermarkGemini shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or business arising out of your use or inability to use the Service.
